Dingle Dell, Croyde Bay

Ripping Yarns Between the Flags

Whether you’re bodyboarding, bellyboarding, or just having a dip, this is your guide to staying safe in Croyde’s glorious (and occasionally mischievous) surf.

Crowded beach scene with many people swimming, wading, and relaxing in the water, and a large number of colorful tents and umbrellas on the sand. A police vehicle is parked near the shoreline.

While You’re Here...

A few ideas for this time — and excuses to come back next time.

Some people arrive in Croyde and instantly switch off. Others need a little help easing out of work mode — and that’s perfectly fine.

This part of our website is for those people. It’s a growing collection of local ideas, gentle suggestions, and things we genuinely enjoy ourselves. Some are full days out, others just small moments worth knowing about. Some will be useful, some might just make you smile.

We’ve no idea quite what will end up here — we’re adding to it as we go — but we hope you’ll find something that helps you get the most out of your stay at Dingle Dell.

And if you discover something brilliant while you’re here — a walk, a view, a place to eat, something you’d happily do again — tell us. We’d love to hear about it. And if you think others would enjoy it too, we might just include it here.

There really is so much to do in and around Croyde — more than you can fit into a week.
That’s partly the point.
“While You’re Here” isn’t just a guide for now — it’s your excuse to come back.

And if you’ve got a website, an activity, or something special to offer visitors, just ask to be included. Don’t worry about writing the content — we can help with that too.
