We’ve Struck Gold – First Impressions of the New Dingle Dell

After years of planning and months of careful renovation, Dingle Dell is finally complete. Along the way we had a few trusted friends and returning guests stay to help us test things, spot the snags, and make sure everything worked as it should. But until now, we hadn’t heard the full, unfiltered first impressions from new guests walking in for the very first time.

Last week, Michael Scott and his family stayed — and their words meant everything to us.

*“Just returned from a fantastic week at Dingle Dell. We love Croyde and Dingle Dell is perfectly positioned in the very centre of it. A short walk to the beach one way and a short walk the opposite way to the village.

Dingle Dell has been carefully renovated and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area had everything we needed. The bathroom was spacious and has a great shower. All 3 bedrooms worked perfectly for our family of 4.

Dingle Dell just gets it right in terms of a place that is modern, but also warm and cosy. It also has outdoor seating at the front and also on a deck at the back (we loved sitting there after a day on the surf).

A brilliant find in Croyde that hopefully remains a secret to those who know. Thanks Claire and Robert for a much needed break, we had a great time and hope to return again.”*

When Michael walked through the door and said “we’ve struck gold,” it summed up exactly what we had hoped for. Knowing Dingle Dell was just right for their family makes us proud; the fact that they left it immaculately makes us grateful.

This was more than a review — it was confirmation that Dingle Dell has found a place in another family’s story. That is the greatest reward of all.
